CBT for Anxiety

Up to 12.0 Mainpro-C credits

With many studies showing CBT on par with drugs, influential practice guidelines (e.g., Cochrane) now promote CBT as a first-line treatment for the anxiety disorders. This highly-practical Mainpro-C works through family practice case studies of GAD, health anxiety (hypochondriasis), OCD, panic disorder, PTSD, and social anxiety. Participants are encouraged to discuss real-life cases, and are shown how to work effective CBT techniques into their standard family practice routines.

1. Learn to rapidly differentiate the anxiety disorders
2. Learn to pinpoint key anxiety-causing cognitions
3. Learn to set therapeutic treatment goals
4. Learn modular treatment protocols
5. Learn ways to quickly assess progress
